Dive Into The Heart - Rindy

After some encouragement from I've decided to post some of my stuff for my Kingdom Hearts OC, Rindy. This is her Station of Awakening, the inside of her heart.

It's really important for people to know that she and her BFF and 's OC Kaki simply exist just for the hell of it. We don't seriously consider these OC's as anything special and just created them to see how well we could twist the timeline.


An Intro To Rindy

Name: Rindy
Age: 4 (BBS), 14 (KH I), 15 (KH II)
Gender: Female
Weapons Keyblades, Dual wielder
Why the X-Blade then?: Rindy is the inheritor of the X-Blade. She is the most recent descendant of the long line of X-Blade wielders that are the last line of defense for Kingdom Hearts.
Birth Place: Montressor (Treasure Planet).
Heritage: She is the second child of Sarah and Leland Hawkins. Her older brother is Jim Hawkins.
Current Residence: Destiny Islands, not the main island.
Reason for leaving Montressor: When she was 3, her father Leland, recognizing her as the inheritor of the X-Blade, took her from Montressor to train her to wield the X-Blade and in fighting. They stopped off on a side world after being attacked by some Heartless in the Lanes Between. Her father was killed and Master Yen Sid came to her rescue. He promised to take her to a safe haven.

Why are these characters in her heart?
Aqua, Terra and Ventus: After the death of her father, Yen Sid dropped Rindy off with Master Eraqus at the Land of Departure. Yen Sid did not reveal the truth of her heritage to Eraqus and instead instructed him to keep her from harm and train her. Due to her young age Eraqus was reluctant to begin any training, so Aqua, Terra and Ventus decided to try teaching her themselves. They decided to start with magic, which Rindy quickly became adept at. Over the year they all became close, especially Rindy and Ventus as Ventus was also sheltered by Eraqus. Rindy was very mature for her age. Rindy's whole world revolved around her three best friends. When the events surrounding Terra and Aqua's Mark of Mastery happened Rindy was right in the middle of it. After her three friends left the Land of Departure, Xehanort decided to kidnap and kill Rindy as way of incentive for Terra to allow the darkness in and Ventus to fight Vanitas. Vantias kidnapped Rindy, but he was unable to kill her, due to his strong connection the the X-Blade. Rindy wound up being left in Radiant Garden where she befriended many of the residents, including Kairi and Rindy's own soon to be lifelong friend Kaki. She encounters her three best friends after they fight the Trinity Armor. Aqua and Terra insist that Ventus and Rindy go home, but Ventus agrees to take Rindy with him. He eventually ends up leaving her on Destiny Islands and performs the Keyblade ritual on her for her own safety, not realizing she could already wield a keyblade due to Vantias' own passing down ritual. Thus she became a dual wielder.

Jim Hawkins: During the first 3 years of her life Rindy and Jim were inseperable and he was her best friend. Their connection was never lost, despite the distance between them and their faded memories.

Kaki: After years of never seeing one another the two meet up again in Halloween Town and go on many adventures. Their connection is inevitable.

Sora, Riku and Kairi: After she was left on the islands, she befriended Riku and Sora very easily. The three became inseparable, Rindy regaling tales of worlds beyond their own. She was adopted by a high ranking official on the islands. When Kairi showed up on the islands, Rindy and she recognized each other from Rindy's time in the gardens and Kairi was welcomed into the group with open arms. The trio became a quartet. Over time Rindy's father decided to move them to a different island and Rindy was only able to see her friends when they came for visits. She stayed on the main island every summer. She was returning to the main island on the night the world was destroyed. She was looking for Sora, Riku and Kairi on the "play" island when it happened.

Max Goof and Della Duck: After being flung off of Destiny Islands as it was destroyed and awakening in Traverse Town, Rindy was desperate to find her friends Sora, Riku and Kairi. She encountered Max and Della as they were searching Traverse Town for Max's father Goofy and Della's twin brother Donald. The three decided to team up and searched the worlds together. they grew very close over time, Max reminding her of her brother Jim and Della acting like the mother she never had.

Roxas: His connection to Rindy is through their connections to Sora and Ventus. Although they never really met one another their hearts are connected.

Namine: Her connection to Rindy is partially through her connections to Sora and Kairi. Rindy and Namine also became friends when they met in Castle Oblivion. Rindy did not forget Namine after their encounter.

Vanitas: After kidnapping her when she was 4 and finding himself unable to kill her, Vantias took Rindy to different worlds (including, Agrabah, the Pride Lands, Corona, the 100 Acre Woods and Radiant Garden) looking for a safe haven for her. He was worried that Xehanort would find her and finish the job himself. Vantias was surprised to find himself terribly adverse to the little girls death, not realizing that they were connected through the X-Blade. After a few botched attempts he resorted to leaving her on Radiant Garden where the people were kind and he thought she would be safe. In an attempt to further keep her safe he performed the Keyblade ritual, allowing her to wield a keyblade.

Why is she a dual wielder instead of an X-Blade wielder? X-Blade wielders can only wield the X-Blade when their hearts are complete. This means that any people they have passed pieces of the heart to via connection, must all be present for her to initially receive access to the X-Blade. Essentially her heart must be complete. Which it is not throughout her journey. She can dual wield with Ventus' and Vantias' keyblades because it is representative of how when Ventus and Vanitas were put together they could create the X-Blade. They were two halves of the X-Blade whole, and as Rindy is the potential X-Blade wielder, she wields their two halves.
